does windows vista 64bit run all the lastest games, like crysis, test drive unltd, cod 4 etc, and software, like adobe cs 3 and office 2007 please help, as im thinking about buying a new pc, which has vista 64bit.
Cant speak for all your games but every thing I’ve run has had no problems. Keep in mind tho, unless you are buying a new system with it installed and you are upgrading your pc, you mite want to triple check to see if your system can run it. Dont go by the minimum requirements as you will have trouble.

It is not your operating system which affects how well games play, but the specification of your personal comptuer. Make sure that you get a top notch graphics card, something like the NVidia GeForce 9500 or an extremely powerful ATI chip. You will also need a hard disk of about 500 gigabytes if you are going to be storing a lot of games on your computer, and of course, you need about 4 gigabytes to 6 gigabytes of RAM if you want to be able to get a good frame rate on your games without a lot of lag. If you have this sort of specification on your computer, then Vista should happily run games such as Crysis and Test Drive Unlimited. Just remember that Vista itself needs about 1.5 gigabytes of RAM to work, so bear that in mind.

You will need games that are designed for 64 bit computers, and there aren’t many yet.
Go for a 32 bit computer instead, 64 bit hasn’t really taken off as it’s inventors had hoped. Much the same as Vista, many, many people have dumped Vista in favour of XP and there has been a surge of new people using Linux instead of Windows!
